About
the Department
Experimental Psychology
The Department of Experimental Psychology
aims for excellence in teaching and research. External assessments
have confirmed the high quality of our teaching, and in the
last national Research Assessment Exercise in 2008 over 60%
of the research produced by all academic staff in the Department
was rated as ‘internationally excellent’ or ‘world
leading’. Our mission is to train undergraduates and
postgraduates in the scientific understanding of the human
mind and we do so in a department in which teaching is research
led. Our programmes are delivered by enthusiastic and talented
staff who are some of the leaders in the field of experimental
psychology.
